Middle Persian Studies – MPS

Middle Persian Studies – MPS is an academic project dedicated to the study of Middle Persian language, literature and intellectual history, with particular attention to Zoroastrian, Manichaean and related late antique traditions.

The project brings together philological, historical and cultural approaches, engaging with Middle Persian, Parthian and other Iranian sources within their wider Near Eastern and Mediterranean contexts.

Middle Persian Studies – MPS is based at the University of Brasília and reflects ongoing research in Iranian studies and Middle Persian textual traditions.
